April 30, 2024:  2nd Sidewalk Vendor Workshop on May 9, 2024
On Thursday, May 9, 2024, Clark County Business License will be hosting a workshop on Sidewalk Vending requirements in unincorporated Clark County. The workshop will provide a step-by-step process on how to apply for a Sidewalk Vendors business license. Clark County Business License staff will be available during the workshop to explain the application process, licensing requirements, rules, and regulations.

April 30, 2024:  Sidewalk Vendor Applications Now Accepted 

Clark County Business License is now accepting applications for Sidewalk Vending.   You may either apply online or schedule an in-person appointment.    Visit the Sidewalk Vendors page for more information.


April 18, 2024:  Sidewalk Vendor Workshop 

On April 16, 2024, Clark County adopted an ordinance to provide a pathway to licensure for sidewalk vendors.  The ordinance will become effective on April 30, 2024.  All sidewalk vendors in unincorporated Clark County are required to obtain a business license for Sidewalk Vendor prior to operating.

On Thursday, April 25, 2024, Clark County Business License will be hosting a workshop on Sidewalk Vending requirements in unincorporated Clark County. April 15, 2024: Short-Term Rental Unit Application Update
On April 15, 2024, the Clark County Department of Business License sent out denial notices via regular and certified mail to applicants that submitted an incomplete application for a Short-Term Rental Unit License, are ineligible property owners, or applied using an ineligible residential unit under Clark County Code Chapter 7.100. The applicants may appeal the denial of their application per Clark County Code 7.100.110 - Issuance or denial of short-term rental license.  The appeal period will be open for thirty days. The denials are based on deficiencies identified in the application materials available to Clark County Department of Business License at this time. The reasons for denial are not exhaustive and additional reasons for denial may be identified upon physical inspection and continued investigation. March 28, 2023: Dedicated Live Customer Service Phone Line Now Available!
Effective March 28, 2023, the Department of Business License is pleased to announce the addition of a dedicated customer service phone line. The phone number 702-455-4340 will be answered by staff during regular office hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and a voicemail is available after hours and on holidays for a return call the next business day. The addition of a dedicated customer service phone line will help constituents get their questions answered quick and conveniently. We hope you will find this addition beneficial as we aim to better serve our customers’ needs.


Jan. 30, 2023: Approval Letters for Liquor and Gaming Applications
Effective March 1, 2023, the Department of Business License will no longer mail approval letters for Liquor and Gaming applications to new licensees. Applicants may verify the final status of their applications via their item on the appropriate monthly Liquor and Gaming Administrative Decisions Agenda after it is posted the following month. Please see the webpage for more details. Decisions are also accessible from the Department's homepage through the navigation bar on the left side of the page, please choose "Liquor and Gaming Administrative Decisions Agenda". July 13, 2022: Licensing for Peer-to-Peer Car Sharing Programs Now Available! 
On May 17, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners approved an ordinance providing for the licensure of Peer-to-Peer Car Sharing programs and shared vehicle owners under the provisions of Clark County Code Chapter 6.105. Effective July 1, 2022, the Department of Business License began accepting license applications for the following categories: Peer to Peer Car Sharing Program (NAICS 485994) and Peer to Peer Shared Vehicle Owner (NAICS 485995). May 19, 2022: Clark County Ends COVID-19 Emergency Declaration
On May 19, 2022, Clark County announced the end to the County's COVID-19 Emergency Declaration. Read the County's Press Release here

May 20, 2022: Temporary Resolution Permitting Reduced Operation of Slot Machines at Certain Establishments Has Expired.
On May 19, 2022, Governor Steve Sisolak lifted all active declarations of emergency pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the August 5, 2020 temporary resolution which permitted any tavern operating bar top slot machines as incidental to a tavern license to instead operate seven (7) or fewer stand-alone machines, provided that not more than fifteen (15) total gaming machines were operational in the establishment has expired. All taverns must again comply with the applicable provisions of Clark County Code § 8.20.020.385 by July 31, 2022. Read the notification letter here.

Feb. 23, 2022: Package Delivery for Liquor Stores and Curbside Pickup of Package Beer, Wine & Spirit-Based Products Ending March 31, 2022
The Temporary License permitting the Delivery of Package Liquor for liquor stores will not be renewed after the current expiration date of March 31, 2022. For restaurants with a retail liquor license, the Temporary License for Curbside Pickup of Package Beer, Wine, & Spirit-Based Products will not be renewed after the current expiration date of March 31, 2022.
