General Business License About Us
Any person who wishes to operate a business in unincorporated Clark County is required by Clark County Code to obtain a business license. A "general license" is a term used to describe a basic application. General business licenses are not typically subject to personal history and/or financial suitability investigations.
The application process for your business license may be accomplished through the Step-By-Step Guide to Apply for a General Business License. This will guide you through the license process including state requirements and online submission.
General licenses account for more than 80 percent of the licenses received by the department. On average, we service between sixty (60) and one hundred (100) customers in-person and approximately thirty (30) online applications each day.
If you wish to apply in person, completed business license applications can be submitted to the department between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm. Our office can be busy so we recommend an early arrival.
The Business License Technicians offer courteous expert licensing service. You may ask questions through chap@ClarkCountyNV.gov or (702) 455-0174.
