March 28, 2023: Dedicated Live Customer Service Phone Line Now Available
Effective March 28, 2023, the Department of Business License is pleased to announce the addition of a dedicated customer service phone line. The phone number 702-455-4340 will be answered by staff during regular office hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and a voicemail is available after hours and on holidays for a return call the next business day. The addition of a dedicated customer service phone line will help constituents get their questions answered quick and conveniently. We hope you will find this addition beneficial as we aim to better serve our customers’ needs.
Jan. 30, 2023: Approval Letters for Liquor and Gaming Applications
Effective March 1, 2023, the Department of Business License will no longer mail approval letters for Liquor and Gaming applications to new licensees. Applicants may verify the final status of their applications via their item on the appropriate monthly
Liquor and Gaming Administrative Decisions Agenda after it is posted the following month. Please see
the webpage for more details. Decisions are also accessible from the Department's
homepage through the navigation bar on the left side of the page, please choose "

July 13, 2022: Licensing for Peer-to-Peer Car Sharing Programs Now Available! On May 17, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners approved an ordinance providing for the licensure of Peer-to-Peer Car Sharing programs and shared vehicle owners under the provisions of Clark County Code Chapter 6.105. Effective July 1, 2022, the Department of Business License began accepting license applications for the following categories: Peer to Peer Car Sharing Program (NAICS 485994) and Peer to Peer Shared Vehicle Owner (NAICS 485995).

May 20, 2022: Temporary Resolution Permitting Reduced Operation of Slot Machines at Certain Establishments Has Expired.On May 19, 2022, Governor Steve Sisolak lifted all active declarations of emergency pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the August 5, 2020 temporary resolution which permitted any tavern operating bar top slot machines as incidental to a tavern license to instead operate seven (7) or fewer stand-alone machines, provided that not more than fifteen (15) total gaming machines were operational in the establishment has expired. All taverns must again comply with the applicable provisions of Clark County Code § 8.20.020.385 by July 31, 2022.

May 19, 2022: Clark County Ends COVID-19 Emergency Declaration
The Temporary License permitting the Delivery of Package Liquor for liquor stores will not be renewed after the current expiration date of March 31, 2022. For restaurants with a retail liquor license, the Temporary License for Curbside Pickup of Package Beer, Wine, & Spirit-Based Products will not be renewed after the current expiration date of March 31, 2022.

Any continued allowable reductions or alterations to business operations as established under any previous resolutions are at the discretion of the Director of Business License.
Nov. 30, 2021 - Clark County Local Mitigation and Enforcement Plan and Large Gathering Event UpdatesUpdate: As of Nov. 30, 2021, a new directive (
Directive 051 and
related guidance) was issued from the State of Nevada and the Governor's office regarding Large Gathering Events, specifically in relation to attendees under the age of 12, regardless of vaccination status.

Resort Hotel
The Department of Business License has posted its Clark County Resort Hotel Re-Opening Application for all resort hotels intending to resume gaming operations subsequent to the lifting of the Governor's mandated closures.
Tavern/Full Bar/Supper Club Restaurant
All businesses intending to resume operations subsequent to the Clark County Liquor and Gaming Licensing Board’s approved resolution need to complete the Clark County Tavern/Full Bar/Supper Club Restaurant Application for Waiver of Operating Requirements due to the COVID-19 emergency. Aug. 1, 2021 - Updated Information About General License Applications for Dental Facilities
As of August 1, 2021, a
Dental Practice Inventory and Certification Form must be completed by all dental facilities when applying for a general business license in accordance with regulations from the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for a one-time certification to ensure mercury is not being introduced into the water systems. The form is due 90 days following the introduction of wastewater into the publicly owned treatment works (POTW). Forms can be obtained from the

March 17, 2021 - Unlawful to Serve Alcohol to Any Intoxicated Person and/ or Allow Any Person to Operate a Vehicle After Becoming Intoxicated

notification letter is to remind owners of licensed businesses with a liquor license that it is unlawful for any liquor licensee to serve liquor to any intoxicated person and to allow any person to operate a vehicle after becoming intoxicated.
