Sam Bateman, Deputy County Manager
Sam Bateman is a Deputy County Manager for Clark County, appointed to the position in October 2023. Bateman is no stranger to working at Clark County, having previously served as a Chief Deputy with the Clark County District Attorney’s Office for over 12 years.
Bateman most recently served as the Chief Justice of the Henderson Justice Court. With his appointment as Deputy County Manager, Bateman has now served in all three branches of local government. Prior to the start of his judiciary career, Bateman also served as an elected member of the Henderson City Council and appointed member of the City’s planning commission.
With a career background primarily in the criminal justice system, Bateman has made innovative decisions to improve processes and outcomes at the Henderson Justice Court while working collaboratively with key stakeholder County departments to implement these necessary changes and improvements.
Bateman has a B.S. in Economics from the University of Utah, and a J.D. from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV.
