In accordance with
Clark County Code Chapter 10, the following permits are available for persons who qualify. Clark County Animal Protection Services is no longer accepting permit applications online. Application, supporting documents and fees must be brought in person to Clark County Animal Protection Services, at 4701 W. Russell Rd. Las Vegas, NV 89118. Application fees must be paid via check or money order, made payable to Clark County Treasurer. No cash, credit or debit cards are accepted. All permit applications are reviewed by a Animal Control Lieutenant or their designee. Inspection fees are non-refundable. All permit codes can be read in full by clicking on the link(s) below.

Breeder/Show Permit Application Requirements
Breeder/Show Permit Application 10.08.135
A person with a breeder/show permit is allowed to keep and maintain, in a clean, healthy, and safe environment, not to exceed eight intact or sterilized pet dogs, one year of age or older, or eight intact or sterilized pet cats, eight months of age or older, provided that with the exception of sterilized dogs or cats, each animal must be shown at least once per year at a show defined in Clark County Code 10.04.275
Required Documents
- Proof of current rabies vaccination and/or sterilization from a licensed veterinarian for each animal.
- Proof of competing for confirmation, agility, and/or obedience in an event sanctioned by a nationally recognized animal club, a registered pure breed pointed club or an all-breed registry organization for each animal.
- Proof of a registered microchip for each animal.
Pet Fancier/Foster Permit Application Requirements
Pet Fancier/Foster Permit Application 10.08.160
A dog or cat fancier/foster permit allows a person to keep or possess on his property, at one location, safely confined in a completely enclosed building, residence or enclosed lot, more than three but not more than six spayed or neutered dogs and up to 10 spayed or neutered cats older than four months of age, as companion animals.
Required Documents
- Proof of current rabies vaccination from a licensed veterinarian for each animal.
- Proof of sterilization from a licensed veterinarian for each animal.
- Proof of a registered microchip for each animal.
- Proof of organization foster agreement for each animal (not required for fancier permit).
Exotic/Wild Animal Permit Application Requirements
Exotic/Wild Animal Permit Application 10.18.010
Except as provided in Clark County Code 10.18.020, no exotic or wild animal shall be transported, exhibited in public or private, or kept anywhere within the unincorporated areas of Clark County unless and until the owner thereof has obtained an exotic or wild animal permit from the animal control officer for each animal, and in accordance with the conditions therein.

Temporary Puppy/Kitten Permit Requirements
Temporary Puppy/Kitten Permit & 10.08.135(k)
In the event that all intact dogs on the property are under the age of one year or all intact cats on the property are under the age of eight months the owner shall obtain a temporary show dog or temporary show cat permit. The expiration date of a temporary permit shall be six months from the date of issue. No breeding or sale of animals is permitted on a temporary show permit.

- Proof of a registered microchip for each animal.
Please also be advised:All dogs, cats, and ferrets over three months of age must be vaccinated with a rabies vaccine and must wear a collar with the current rabies vaccination tag.

CCC10.08.080All dogs, cats, ferrets, pet rabbits, and potbellied pigs must wear a collar with owner identification information OR the animal must be implanted with a microchip.

Permits must be renewed each year. Non-Compliance of CCC Title 10 may result in revocation of a permit and/or prosecution.
