The Office of the Clark County District Attorney is the legal branch of local government in Clark County. Comprised of four unique divisions: Criminal, Juvenile, Family Support and Civil, the office employs nearly 700 people, of which 170 are attorneys and over 500 are support staff.

The Clark County District Attorney, Steven B. Wolfson, was appointed by the Board of County Commissioners in February of 2012.  In 2014 he was elected to that position by a wide margin, and was again successful in the 2018 and 2022 elections.  His current term ends in 2026.

The Criminal Division of the office prosecutes all felony crimes and many misdemeanors occurring within the County. Extensive services for victims of crime and witnesses are provided through the Victim-Witness Assistance Center. Last year, the office filed charges in over 55,000 cases against defendants, ranging from petit larceny to murder. These cases are aggressively prosecuted by over 100 Deputy District Attorney's appearing regularly in thirty judicial forums. The Assistant District Attorneys for the Criminal Division are Christopher J. Lalli and Robert Daskas.

The Juvenile Division prosecutes matters concerning juveniles who commit crimes in our community and parents who abuse and/or neglect their children resulting in them being placed into foster care. The Juvenile Division partners with local law enforcement agencies and Clark County’s Juvenile Justice and Child Welfare Agencies to ensure community safety and the safety, permanency and well-being of children in foster care. The division processes approximately 8,000 cases per year.  Assistant District Attorney Brigid Duffy supervises the activities of this unit, which is located in the Family Court building.

The Family Support Division improves the lives of families by engaging and empowering parents to provide continuous support for their children. To accomplish this mission; the division will locate parents, establish paternity, and enforce child support orders. The District Attorney Family Support Division maintains a caseload of over 46,000 cases and collects over $145 million every year for children and families. The Division excels in every federal performance measure and continually ranks within the top ten Child Support Enforcement programs nationwide. The Family Support Division is comprised of approximately 300 employees, including 12 Deputy District Attorneys. Assistant District Attorney Karen S. Cliffe oversees the Family Support Division of the District Attorney's Office. 

Lisa Logdon, County Counsel, supervises the Civil Division, which handles civil lawsuits involving the County and advises County departments on administrative law matters.
