The governing agency of the Clark County Law Library is the Law Library Board of Trustees. The trustees serve without compensation and the meetings of the board are open to the public. Anyone interested in serving on the Law Library Board of Trustees may submit an application to Clark County Administrative Services before November 14, 2024 to be considered for a two year term from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2026.

The Clark County Law Library celebrates its 100-year anniversary with an art display by Nevada artist Debbie Lambin, crafted with books from its own collection. The Law Library was established by Clark County Ordinance #1 on January 5, 1923. A timeline of the Law Library's history is also available, found here.

Out of an abundance of caution and to support the containment of COVID-19, the Clark County Law Library will be closed to the public beginning on Tuesday, November 24th, 2020 for a minimum of three weeks.
We will continue to provide legal reference services via email at askinfo@clarkcountynv.gov and via phone at 702-455-4696. Requests will be processed in the order they are received.

As a Patron of the Clark County Law Library you are probably aware that we offer Patron Access to LexisNexis. LexisNexis continues to partner with us and the wider legal Community during the Covid-19 pandemic and are continuing to provide access to Library Patrons remotely during this crises. If you cannot otherwise conduct legal research you are welcome to register for a temporary Lexis Advance® ID at
https://www.lexisnexis.com/en-us/pa-access.page. This ID will be good until June 30th, 2020 or 30 days (whichever is shorter). This ID allows you to conduct research on the cases, codes, and secondary resources needed for their legal work and personal legal research.

In accordance with Clark County’s Emergency Declaration, as of March 18, 2020, until further notice, the Clark County Law Library will be closed to the public.
All free legal education classes and tax preparation clinics held at the Law Library are postponed until further notice.
We will be unable to take phone calls during this time, but will continue to provide limited legal reference services via email at
askinfo@clarkcountynv.gov. Requests will be processed in the order they are received.
