Miguel Rodriguez – Artist for the Ceramic Tile Murals 2011
Miguel’s work is a reflection of an obsession with Pop Culture, Politics, Science, and Mortality. It's a blend of classically rendered form and a vernacular aesthetic that expresses a sense of iconic (or ironic) grandeur.

Sierra Slentz – Artist for the Ceramic Tile Murals 2012-present
In 2012, artist Sierra Slentz, along with artist Su Limbert, were invited to become part of Clark County Parks and Recreation’s Children’s Festival. With their knowledge of mosaic art and previous experience working with children, the two artists put together workshops for the public to participate in creating a mural. Families were invited to paint ceramic tiles which were installed on the walls of the Winchester-Dondero Cultural Center.

The first mural was completed in 2012 and the following year the artists were invited back to create a “play themed” mural. In 2014, the Friends of Winchester wanted a larger full wall mural to commemorate the yearly Day of the Dead festival held at the Winchester. This was completed by Sierra Slentz in 2016. In 2017, Sierra designed another multi-part mural for the garden patio area with the theme desert landscape meets garden. This project is ongoing and often coincides with the yearly Children’s Festival hosted at the Winchester in April.
