Welcome to our first ever zine exhibition! Zines, pronounced “zeen”, are self-published and oftentimes printed physical media that share ideas, stories, art, tips, or anything else you can think of by the people who make them. Zines are considered a part of DIY culture, where artists and makers create things themselves with supplies that are readily available to them. The artists in this exhibition invite you into their worlds by giving you stories, advice, guides, personal narratives, satire, visual art, poetry, and news. This exhibition shows the wide variety of talent that we have in our communities in all forms of artistic disciplines. So, feel free to visit our gallery, settle into our little library experience, and join the Clark County Zine Club.

Our juror, Jeffrey B Grindley, is the co-founder of the Las Vegas Zine Library and a Las Vegas born artist. The Las Vegas Zine Library currently resides in UNLV’s Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art. He plays in the sandbox with cameras, words, pigment, and sound. He believes love is the answer.
