The exhibit, “Water in the Desert”, running August 27 through September 28 and features a wide variety of art that will give visitors a chance to escape the heat while experiencing beauty in the desert. As diverse as the fierce heat of the desert and the refreshing water, this exhibit, is a perfect example of the perspectives and diversity across our desert and invites the community to bring their curiosity, imagination and experience and explore the many wonders around us.

The Mojave Desert is an arid desert and the driest desert in North America. Water is a precious element with immense power and a profound effect on our environment. Clark County Public Art invites you to explore the many ways that water influences our lives in the desert. The 20 artists were selected from a themed open call for their talent, diverse mediums and perspective of our desert. Featured Artist are : Lisa Bedow, Amber Breitigan, Lisa Clark, Craig Davis, Chris Frausto, Paula Jacoby-Garrett, Bindia Hallauer, Sylvia Hawksley, Katie Klemp, KD Matheson, Dolores Meneses, Don Michael, Jr, Lance Olson, Shawanda Schiefer, Chad Scott, Casey Southard, Robin Stark, Birgit Tode, Vezun, and Eric Vozzola.

The public is welcome to celebrate the talents of these featured artists and view their work at the reception on September 12 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The show hosts works from nationally renowned, local artists.
