Energy Management
Putting energy conservation plans into action for County facilities comprising more than 3 million square feet. These facilities include:

The County’s Sustainability Resolution set the goal of a 20-percent reduction in energy use by 2020 using 2009 as a baseline. This will be accomplished by identifying Energy Conservation Measures that include:
• Commissioning New Buildings and Retro-Commissioning Facilities
• Installation of energy-efficient lighting technology
• Utilizing lighting controls
• Upgrading heating and cooling systems
