Section 208 of the Clean Water Act requires that activities associated with water pollution be planned and managed through a 20-year planning document, which is accomplished in Clark County through the 208 Area-wide Water Quality Management Plan (WQMP). The Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) identify Clark County as the master agency for wastewater within Clark County. As the water quality planning agent for the Board of County Commissioners, Clark County Water Quality works with municipalities, wastewater dischargers, water purveyors, affected industry, and citizens to address these federal requirements.
