Ways to Register to Vote or Update Your Existing Registration
Nevada has many ways of registering to vote and making updates to an existing registration. Know the deadlines and important dates, especially for same-day registration (both online and in-person). Same-day registration has special voting requirements and conditions.

IF YOU HAVE NV ID: If you have a current and valid (unexpired) Nevada Driver's License, Nevada DMV-issued State ID Card, or Nevada DMV Interim Document, you may register to vote or update your existing Clark County, Nevada, voter registration on the Secretary of State's website, through the same-day registration and updates process, or by any of the means indicated below.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE NV ID: If you do not have the above items:
- You may register to vote as follows:
  - If you have a printer, use the Nevada Voter Registration Application provided by the Secretary of State. After you complete the application online, print, sign, and mail it to the Clark County Election Department at the address specified on the form.
  - If you do not have a printer, we will mail you a Voter Registration Application. Simply enter your name and address using our online Registration Application Request page.
  - Contact the Election Department to have forms mailed to you.
- You may update your existing registration as follows:
  - Log in to our Registered Voter Services for pre-populated forms that can be printed and mailed, or to electronically submit certain requests.
  - Contact the Election Department to have forms mailed to you.
FOR ALL: Other ways to register to vote or update existing registration:
- In-Person: You may register or update your existing registration in-person, before a Field Registrar, or at one of the following locations on or before the standard registration deadline:
  - The Clark County Election Department
  - Any City Clerk's office
  - The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)
    - Many transactions at the DMV will automatically register you to vote unless you submit a written request to opt out of voter registration
  - Any Nevada State Welfare Agency or WIC Office
- By Mail: Mail-in voter registration applications (which may be used for updates of existing registration) are available at the following locations and must be submitted on or before the standard registration deadline:
  - The Clark County Election Department
  - Any City Clerk's office
  - Post offices
  - Libraries
  - Political party offices
  - Some Chambers of Commerce
MILITARY AND OVERSEAS VOTERS: Military and overseas voters should use the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) to register to vote and receive a mail ballot.
