The Truancy Prevention Outreach Program (TPOP) is dedicated to providing an early warning system that helps identify students who may be at risk of chronic absenteeism. We understand that every student and family face unique challenges, and we are committed to offering personalized support to address those needs. By partnering with youth, families, the Clark County School District (CCSD), and community organizations, TPOP aims to tackle the root causes of absenteeism and create a supportive environment for all students.
Our program offers intensive services within homes, schools, and communities to ensure that families receive the necessary support through a tailored case management approach. TPOP staff work collaboratively to develop a coordinated action plan, engaging both students and their families while mapping out available resources. This teamwork fosters meaningful connections among families, program staff, and school personnel, allowing us to address the various issues that contribute to absenteeism.
We believe that active family engagement and strong partnership with community organizations are vital to empowering youth to achieve their goals. Together, we can create a brighter future for our students, ensuring they have the support and resources they need to thrive.
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. Education is the key to eliminating gender inequality, to reducing poverty, to creating a sustainable planet, to preventing needless deaths and illness, and to fostering peace. And in a knowledge economy, education is the new currency by which nations maintain economic competitiveness and global prosperity. Education is an investment, and one of the most critical investments we can make.” - Nelson Mandela
