Sound Wall Work to Prompt Some Overnight Closures of Decatur On-Ramp on Northern CC-215 Through Jan. 9

Starting Wednesday, Dec. 11, motorists are advised that overnight access to the Clark County-215 Beltway from North Decatur Boulevard will be impacted two to three times a week into early January.

The westbound on-ramp to CC-215 at North Decatur Blvd will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on multiple nights as crews work to install sound walls along the Northern Beltway. Sound walls are being constructed to reduce traffic noise from reaching nearby residential areas.

The schedule for the overnight closures of the North Decatur on-ramp is as follows:

  • Week of Dec. 8: Wednesday, Dec. 11; Thursday, Dec. 12
  • Week of Dec. 15: Sunday, Dec. 15; Tuesday. Dec. 17; Thursday, Dec. 19
  • Week of Dec. 22: Sunday, Dec. 22; Thursday, Dec. 26.
  • Week of Dec. 29: Dec. 29; Thursday, Jan. 2.
  • Week of Jan. 5: Sunday, Jan. 5; Tuesday, Jan. 7; Thursday, Jan. 9

The recommended detour around the work area is to use the on-ramp at North Jones Boulevard. Message boards are in place along the freeway to notify motorists in advance of the closures.
