Clark County Seeks Community Leaders for Advisory Boards
Clark County invites civic-minded residents to help shape the future of their communities by serving on local advisory boards. The county is currently accepting applications for open seats on the Town Advisory Boards (TAB) in Bunkerville and Moapa, and the Citizens Advisory Council (CAC) in Lower Kyle Canyon.
These advisory positions empower residents to directly influence local decision-making while serving as a crucial bridge between their communities and county government. Board members will serve two-year terms starting January 2026, participating in regular public meetings that address vital community matters.
Advisory board members play an essential role by:
- Evaluating and making recommendations on zoning, land use, and development proposals
- Bringing forward community concerns and priorities to the County Commission
- Contributing valuable local perspective to long-term planning initiatives
- Ensuring effective two-way communication between residents and county leadership
“Our advisory boards are the eyes and ears of unincorporated towns and areas of Clark County,” said Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick. “These dedicated volunteers bring local knowledge, expertise and passion that helps ensure county decisions reflect the needs and values of our diverse urban and rural communities. Their service is fundamental to maintaining transparent, responsive local government.”
Qualified candidates must be eligible to vote, live within their respective TAB or CAC boundary, and commit to attending annual training sessions.
The TAB and CAC appointments are expected to be made by the County Commission on March 18. Anyone appointed through this process would serve until January 2026.
Applications are due by March 4, at 5:30 PM PT. Interested residents can obtain applications through the Clark County website, by emailing the Clark County Department of Administrative Services (AdministrativeServices@ClarkCountyNV.gov) or their local TAB or CAC secretary.
