CC-215/Summerlin Parkway Interchange Improvements to Start Feb. 10
Starting Monday, Feb. 10, motorists are advised that construction activity will begin on the Clark County 215 Beltway (CC-215)/Summerlin Parkway Interchange Project. This 3-year-long project will widen the Beltway, improve connectivity and safety, ease congestion, enhance mobility, and support the continued development of the Summerlin area.
The $130 million project includes the reconfiguration of interchange ramps, construction of a new flyover ramp from southbound CC-215 to eastbound Summerlin Parkway, new bridges, widening of the existing Summerlin Parkway bridge, and three new trail bridges to expand the City of Las Vegas Trail across CC-215. Other improvements include the construction of retaining walls, storm drain facilities, traffic control devices and signage, as well as traffic signal improvements and street lighting.
For the duration of construction, lanes and interchange ramps will be periodically restricted or closed. Project details and updates, including a schedule of upcoming lane restrictions, can be found on the project website at CC215SummerlinParkwayInterchange.com. Additionally, message boards within the project corridor will advise motorists and residents of upcoming changes in traffic patterns. The first traffic restrictions will be overnight lane reductions in both directions on CC-215 northbound and southbound between Far Hills Ave and Lake Mead Blvd starting Feb. 10. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 MPH within the project limits to improve safety for the construction crews. Regular day shift construction hours will be Monday-Friday between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and night shift construction hours will be Sunday-Thursday between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Motorists should use caution while traveling through work zones and take alternate routes when possible. Due to the fluid nature of roadwork, the public is reminded that construction schedules and travel impacts can change on short notice, and they are advised to check navigation apps such as Waze, Google Maps or Apple Maps for real-time information.
