Clark County is Currently Recruiting Lifeguards for Multiple Facilities

Clark County Parks and Recreation’s Aquatics Program is now recruiting individuals 15 years and older to work as lifeguards, cashiers, and swim instructors at facilities throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

Interested individuals can submit a part-time application online by visiting our website to apply now: https://bit.ly/CCPRlifeguardrecruitment. After applications are received, candidates will be interviewed and required to perform pre-requisite skills for the lifeguard class. Skills include fifty yards of freestyle swimming, fifty yards of freestyle swimming with a lifeguard rescue tube, one minute of treading water without using hands, and retrieving a ten-pound object from the bottom of the pool. Candidates who meet pre-requisites will be hired and paid to attend lifeguard training. For additional information, call (702) 455-1708 or visit the Aquatics Program's website at https://bit.ly/2V6dQHa to apply.

Besides learning valuable life-saving land and water skills, working at a pool can help individuals develop critical thinking skills, practice leadership and customer service, and improve people's lives in their communities. Many former aquatic staff work full-time careers in medicine, policing, teaching, and the military. Lifeguarding is a rewarding part-time job that can prepare individuals for many future employment opportunities.

The County operates 15 aquatics facilities, including pools in Indian Springs, Laughlin, Logandale, and Overton. Seasonal pools are open to the public in May, June, July, and August and indoor pools are open all year. Operation times vary for each facility but are posted on the Aquatics Program's website at https://bit.ly/2V6dQHa. Clark County Parks and Recreation can also be found on Facebook, Instagram and X.
