Clark County Seeks Representatives for Rural Alliance Advisory Committee

Clark County is currently accepting applications to fill three vacant positions on the Rural Alliance Advisory Committee (RAAC). The County is seeking representatives for Commission Districts D, E, and G.

Applications are being accepted now through April 8, 2025, at 5 p.m. PT. New board members will be appointed at the Board of County Commissioners meeting on May 6, 2025. The Rural Alliance Advisory Committee's purpose is to gather input from rural community residents regarding County-driven issues that may directly impact rural areas.

"Rural areas" are defined as those comprised of residential neighborhoods with two dwelling units per acre or less, areas designated with a rural neighborhood preservation overlay, and other spaces that are rural in nature with boundaries within Clark County's Master Plan.

The advisory committee, which meets quarterly, consists of eight members: a representative from the Northwest Area Residents Association and a representative from each Commission District in Clark County. The committee began meeting in 2024 after the Board of Clark County Commissioners established it by resolution on April 16, 2024.

Interested residents can apply online at the Rural Alliance Advisory Committee website.
