Coroner's Office Seeks Public’s Help Identifying Deceased Male

The Clark County Coroner/Medical Examiner’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a deceased male found in Las Vegas nearly two years ago. The 6’3” White man, believed to be 55-80 years old, was found dead by employees working in the area of 700 East Sahara Avenue near S. 6th Street on July 23, 2023.  

Some distinctive features include a broken nose with nasal deformation, a scar on the left knee, scoliosis of the spine, fractured anterior dentition, and a healed right clavicle mid-shaft fracture.  

The decedent was wearing blue “Walter Hagen” pants (Size 36 x 32), a brown belt, and grey “New Balance” sneakers. The estimated time of death was within 0-3 days prior to discovery.  

A description of the man and photographs have been shared with the National Missing and Unidentified Person’s (NamUs) System, a centralized repository for missing and unidentified person cases in the United States. A NamUs Case Number 117028 link is available here

The cause and manner of death remain under investigation.  

“We are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying this individual to allow for notification to next of kin,” said Clark County Coroner Melanie Rouse. “Any details, no matter how small, could be crucial in bringing closure to this case.”
